Forty five minutes from the airports of Sligo and Knock (North West International) and 45 minutes from the seaside resort of Bundoran and the North West’s biggest town, Sligo. Carrick on Shannon is the ideal base for touring the West and North West. Only a 2 hour drive from Dublin.

Carrick on Shannon is a lovely place to stay. There are plenty of good restaurants, from the gourmet to the country pub, which cater for all pockets and tastes.
Boating, fishing, scenic walks, cinema, bowling alley, kids playgrounds (indoor & outdoor) and the wonderful adventure park at Lough Key Forest Park, all on your doorstep. These are just some of the many amenities in Carrick on Shannon and its surrounds.

In the evening the sound of music and laughter in the village pubs and nightclubs is an invitation to mingle with the local people and enjoy an evening of mirth and revelry.
During the summer months Carrick also offers the chance to attend its many summer festivals. These include Carrick Water Festival in August, the Indie Music Festival in July and the Traditional Music in October. The famous Mooney Music Festival in Drumshanbo is a mere 10 minute drive.
The Water Festival takes place over the August bank holiday weekend and is centered around the newly refurbished old courthouse now known as The Dock.
The Dock has theatre productions, music recitals and comedy shows all through the year. It also hosts the work of many artists, both local and national.
